RAW OIL REFINING:
The raw oil refining process involves preparation, hydration, treatment with phosphoric acid (degumming), neutralization of free fatty acids, washing of neutralized oil, drying, bleaching by fuller’s earth, deodorization and winterization.
The plant is capable of processing 80-90 tons of sunflower seed or 70-80 tons of corn germ. The yield depends on the quality of the raw materials. For example, if the oil content rate of the sunflower seed is 42%, the average yield is 38% pure oil and 43% expeller with 8% residual oil content. If the oil content rate of the corn germ is 50%, the average yield is 46% pure oil and 50 tons of expeller with 8% residual oil content.
